The Staff at
Coastal GI are employees of Beaufort County Hospital and
assist Dr. Ruffolo in both the office setting and during performance of his
procedures at the hospital. These staff members are highly skilled
professionals serving in nursing and office roles. They have many
years of experience in the specialty area of gastroenterology and endoscopy.
The
staff is here for you, the patient, to ensure that your experience at
Coastal GI
is as pleasant and accommodating as possible. They wish to ensure that
all of your GI needs and concerns are fully addressed.
 Dr.
Ruffolo is a board certified specialist in gastroenterology, hepatology and
internal medicine. He attended medical school at Ohio State University, and
completed his internal medicine training and GI fellowship at Indiana
University. He was in private practice in Greenville from 1991 until October
2007 at which time he relocated to Coastal Gi. Dr. Ruffolo held an
appointment as an Assistant Clinical Professor at East Carolina University
for many years instructing medical students, residents and other allied
health professionals.
Dr. Ruffolo has special expertise in the fields of endoscopy, colonoscopy,
pancreatic and biliary disease (ERCP procedures). Dr. Ruffolo is on staff
and will be performing procedures at Beaufort County Hospital.
Dr. Ruffolo has served on the North Carolina State Healthcare Coordinating
Council (appointed by Governor Easley), and is currently on the board of the
North Carolina Society of Gastroenterology.
